Paul purchased the original four Duffy’s Drafthouse locations in 2001, and brought to them his vision for the future. Rebranding the concept Duffy’s Sports Grill, he transformed a few beloved local establishments into the sports-themed, casual-dining phenomenon we know today. Infusing a passion for top quality food combined with welcoming, memorable hospitality in a family friendly atmosphere, Duffy’s has become a community favorite across the state.
Paul was taken from us in 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. As is always the case with cancer, he was taken from us too soon, and too young. We have mourned his passing, and have pledged to carry his legacy forward, by staying true to the principles and beliefs on which the company was founded. Paul wanted Duffy’s to be a staple in every neighborhood. He believed Duffy’s should always be an integral part of each community we serve, and we always will be.
As we continue to move ahead, we are looking forward to many restaurant openings in new neighborhoods across the state. Duffy’s Foundation, created in Paul’s memory, will keep his passion for community involvement and charitable giving alive. There is much more to come. We are deeply saddened that Paul cannot be here to see the future of Duffy’s, because he would have been so proud. But this will always be his company, a family business, and we will work every day to continue his vision. In loving memory.
